No blog that has Bristol as a focus could be complete without reference to Achie Leech, one of the city's most famous sons. You may know him better as the film actor Cary Grant. This image is part of the statue that has been erected, I believe in the area of Horfield where he used to live. There is a fish and chips shop near the Christmas steps which, apart from being one of the oldest chippies in the country, was where the man himself used to go for his cod and chips.

The statue as viewed is at @Bristol at the by the Lloyds amphitheatre, there is also a plaque at the top of picton st about him too.
